Recycling Service Update
All Residential and Commercial recycling customers. We have received notice from Phoenix Recycling that they have closed their plant for the next several weeks. We are seeking other locations to process this recycling but there is no location to use in SW Colorado. Our plan while we receive some clarity from Phoenix is as follows:
-
We will suspend billing for recycle collection effective July 1, 2023 and give notice when we are able to restart the collection and billing process.
-
We ask you to continue to separate recycling from trash but we will collect on your trash collection day with the truck that disposes at Archuleta County Landfill
-
You may take the material to the Archuleta County Transfer Station where they are still taking recycle materials.
-
You can store your recycling in a safe area and we will collect when Phoenix Recycling reopens or we find a suitable replacement for processing.
-
I have notified Derek Woodman, Archuleta County Manager and Andrea Phillips, Pagosa Springs Manager of this change to our recycle collection
